Horsepower Therapy - Our Mission for Veterans

The Horsepower Therapy crew is looking forward to our second year of participating in Camaro Fest.

We are an all-volunteer 501(c)3 non-profit organization formed by retired military members, family members and civilians for the express purpose of serving our nation’s combat veterans and their families. All of our events with veterans, wounded combat veterans and families are paid for solely by contributions from donors, sponsors and our fundraising events. Every dollar goes toward the expenses related to bringing these deserving heroes and families coming from all over the country together to have the time of their lives…and enjoy a little Horsepower Therapy!

Last year we had the privileged of bringing a deserving veteran out to the track and, with the help of the Camaro Fest, Magnuson, and JPSS crews, show her an amazing day. This year we hope to bring out two veterans, doubling down on our commitment and involvement.

For more information about our organization, if you know a deserving veteran, or have ideas for events we should be involved with, please swing by our website or shoot me a PM.

http://horsepowertherapy.org/

We could use your help raising funds for this years event.

I'm going to be doing NCM and Camaro cross an I'd be willing to give ride alngs as long as the the track folks are willing. I'm not a pro but would be honored to give a fellow vet a opportunity.

Did we ever think of getting ahold of the Bowling Green, KY VA Clinic for this possibly? We do a show locally at the VA hospital I've volunteered since it started a few years back the vets really like it wish they had a small autox course to bring them for a spin if they were able to but the insurance implications and the fact it's a federal facility probably would make that nigh impossible.

Love the idea, something I can look in to. Liability would be a concern. Currently, for veterans we bring out to events we have a process and forms that are signed. But I love the idea for future events for my organization.

Thanks

Does the NCM provide free admission for vets during CF? If not, that might be something to investigate.

I do not believe they do. When I was active duty I still had to pay to visit. However, I will investigate. I may be able to set up a specific "event".

EDIT... I stand corrected, they currently do allow Active Duty to tour for free. Which is awesome. More to follow

I believe spectators are allowed in free of charge to watch events at NCM track. There's lots of Vets here in the Ft Campbell area.

Yes, it's actually a great place to go and view the cars on track.

Please take time to drop HTP a couple paypal bucks. It really helps get these disabled heros to our event.
