But not holding my breath on that one.

Its easier for the full size trucks and SUVs. They are already engineered to accept the big boy engine, so just throw it in with some performance looking wheels/tires/brakes and there ya go. Not that simple for the midsize twins.
I think the most clever way to do that would be for a new GMC Syclone, by itself (no Colorado SS or whatever to go with it), using one of the turbo6's.

but what about a follow up to the V8 Colorado that was offered? I feel like you'd need to have a Chevy version as well

You could stick something like the LGW or LF3 in there. Colorado gets a high powered ZR2, Canyon could get a Syclone.

The V8 Colorado was just that though, a Colorado with a V8. There wasn't anything special or interesting about it.

As for Chevy needing a special version, it already has a special Colorado: the ZR2. And GMC has nothing like that. So why not give GMC something unique too? Plus, it would attract a very different type of buyer to GMC than they'd normally get.

that definitely makes sense i forget GMC doesn't get a version of the ZR-2

Never mind. 2019 Sonic listed in the order guides. 1.8L is dead (thankfully), 1.4T standard on all models.

Was the ATS-V sedan being outsold by the coupe? I would think it was the other way around.

Yeah, but is it replaced by anything? Following on to the subject of Cadillac naming convention that is taking place in another thread, CTS is “going away” and CT5 is coming in. That’s like Gen 5 Camaro going away and Gen 6 Camaro coming in except for the name change.

One of the databases I use to track vehicle forecasts shows ATS going away (but after 2019) and shows CT4 coming in. So, basically, CTS => CT5 and ATS => CT4 in transition from Alpha to Alpha2.
