Great day at the track
Had an awesome day at pacific raceways (Seattle area). The car stood up to 5 20-25 mts sessions in the instructors group with ease. I was able to pass nearly everything, except a 997 turbo and a motorsports club Cayman gt4. Car is plain insane and i am not at the limits. Stock tires with -2.2 camber held up well. Hawk DTC 70s were insanely good ( thanks kn!). Never had hit 150 on the front straight before . Tranny temp stayed at around 220 max and oil ( 0-40 mobile 1 dexos 2) at 260 ish. Tire pressure - 38 hot. Ambient temp 75-80.
Next upgrade consideration DSC software for suspension.... |

That’s a cold trans temp compared to what most other memebers report after sessions that long!

Trans temp 225 -235 F here. Trans temp of 235 was 2 back to back 20 minute sessions with only a 15 minute cool down between laps.

Stock Tires - you say they held up well. Miles on them before you tracked? What do you think would have happened without the camber adjustment? I ask because I have 6K on mine and am planning to track and autoX at Camaro Fest 8 and am afraid I'll cord them (and then have to drive a long way home one them). Thoughts appreciated.

I had about 1 -2hrs on the track with them and 3.5k miles. I think autocross is probably a bit harder on the tires with a car of this weight. I can't speculate on if you should do it or not without a lot more information. How much tread is left on them? What's your skill level? How much time on the auto x course?
