Cannot get ZL1/Z28 brake pedal pad on! Save me a headache.

So I got the ZL1/Z28 brake pedal pad off (which in my research is the hard part.)

I got the gas pedal on, but I cannot get the brake pedal pad on.

Suggestions? Tips?

did you get the right one ie. manual vs automatic? automatic brake pedal is the size of a brick while manual is small and delicate like a flower.

I did my pedal set on a manual and I used a small flat tip and some WD40 I've even read about putting them in the oven for a few minutes to make them a tad more flexible....

I used a heat gun to make the rubber more malleable. It's by far the most difficult thing I've done.

Takes a lot of elbow grease. I used soapy water and a large flat head screwdriver. Work the angles...took me about 45 min...lost about 5 pounds from sweating, lol. My side hurt for about 3 days too from leaning against the frame, lol.

Tool I used that was pretty helpful was a z shaped flathead screw driver. Took my time prying the rubber around the pedal. Alot easier than using a regular flat head.

I put mine in the oven for a few minutes to soften the rubber up. It was hot as hell and I burnt my thumb but it took me 5 minutes to get it completely on.

They don't make anything easy with those. The brake pedal itself is made out of Adamantium or something, had to drill through it to put on my Lingenfelter covers and it took forever, broke a couple drill bits, etc.
