Quick question about Scosche Adapter

couldn't find this answer because its probably a stupid question.

Do I NEED to wire the speaker wires from the scosche adapter to the aftermarket head unit even if I'm using the preouts for dedicated amps? Or will that give the head unit problems if i don't. I'm planning on using a 4 channel and a mono for the speakers and subs.

Thanks!

No you don't need to connect the aftermarket unit's speaker level outputs to the Scosche harness, but you will need to connect your 4 channel amp's output to the Scosche kits harness to drive the four speakers in the car.

Wait so I does that mean I can use factory wiring? I should add that I'm replacing the speakers as well. So I take the speaker output from the amp and connect it to the scosche lines?

Can you take a photo of your wire harness, and I'll make a diagram for you.

Hallo,

i have changed the boston amp against the KAC-8406 - Kenwood amp. I have connected the preouts from my kenwood DNX9210BT to the new amp. I have not connected the speaker level outputs to the scosche harness. I have installed two harnesses with double chinch-connectors from headunit via middle console to the amp in the rear of the car and also one harness with chinch-connector for the active sub. Thats the Installation with scosche kit. With metra kit i have used the factory amp replacement kit from here: http://********.com/product_info.php?products_id=489 .
The scosche kit fails my tpms. Now scosche will send me a new uac-module with the newest software. They have informed me, that the newest software has not this bug. I hope, you understand my bad english language.

Best regards from Germany
