left over 6th geneartion camaros

just a question....this is the last year (2024) of the 6th generation camaro...so across the USA there is probably at least 2000 camaros sitting on dealerships...will they offer big discounts like 15-20 thousand off msrp if they are still sitting there in 2025? how long will they keep these cars on the lot? 2026, 2027? do they send unused camaros back to the assembly plant because they arent making the model anymore? just a question, what do car makers do to the last year model's of the cars they no longer make anymore? do they just destroy them? will they take engines out? what will they do with all the 3.6 V6's or 6.2 V8's?...just curious...any answers?

According to Chevrolet.com there are currently 1181 2024 Camaros at dealerships throughout the country. Only 122 of those are 6.2L cars. I believe all of the V-8 cars will sell. The 1, 2 & 3LTs will take a bit longer to sell out. You can already find them marked down some. I don't believe any will be sent back to Chevrolet.

Mine has been perfect for 6200 miles.

I would actually bet if anything they’re the best built of all post-2019 update 6th gens.

All 2024 Camaros were built between August 8th and December 7th 2023. Mine was built August 12th.

Thanks, I got my 21 new and it has 67 k miles now. I might want to trade for a newer v6 manual down the road. This is a great car.

Dodge sold 2 Vipers in 2023.

Ultimately they will sell and I doubt it will take that long.

i looked a few weeks ago at local inventory was surprised that most of them are convertibles, especiall since i rarely see a camaro convertible around here.

that post did give me a laugh though. what happens to them smh. they may not have sold well, but they won't last 3 more years on the lots

We laugh, but then if I think about who would want to buy a convertible that sat in the snow, then the sleet, then baked in the sun and took some torrential rainstorms even for a single year, which is soon coming up on 24's, I start to wonder, considering how unwilling dealers are to discount these last model year Camaros...

Ha yes, the pre-covid days. When it was a piece of cake to get any new car for $5-7k off sticker.

I don't know about on Camaros but dealers are finally starting to give pretty good discounts on vehicles now. I bought a 2024 Chevy High Country truck a couple months ago at over $13k off MSRP.
