Thanks for the good thoughts & prayers. Dad came through the surgery okay. His eye was pretty bad & they had to do a lot to try to save it. He is not likely to have much if any vision in it but hopefully some sight & at least that he won't have to have the eye removed. He has to go back tomorrow. Nothing has changed with my son or daughter. It is not likely to any time soon. Maybe someday. I guess I will make myself put up the tree & a few decorations this weekend. Not sure if it will help or make me more sad especially since my mother made a bunch of my ornaments, but either way, it goes up. Then I will put my new team LLT badges & strut tower covers on Ruby. Now that may help. Thanks guys & gals for your support. Hope everyone has a happy Friday & a great weekend

So glad it's Friday... I had yesterday off because the Seahawks were home with a 5pm kickoff, but had a meeting at noon. My hubby waited in the car for me, and we planned to head to the game right after the meeting. Well, our plans didn't go so well....
We were headed toward Seattle, and I glanced down and the temp gauge on my SUV was topped out - no warning lights, though (weird....) I took the next exit and we checked things out, added some coolant, waited a bit, called our buddy at the shop to make sure we were doing everything right (Mitshubishis are more complicated than Chevys!)... It seemed to cool a little, then get hot again... So, we headed home (only about 12 miles) and got hubby's truck to go to the game. Then, I had to listen to him rant, and rant, and rant.... He basically cussed me out for 3 hours straight. He kept insinuating that it was my fault we were going to be late for the game. Yup, I made the SUV overheat, I made the traffic bad, I made you get in the right lane 5 miles before you needed to and sit there for an hour, etc....Sigh....

Silver lining.... We made it to the game before the end of the 1st quarter, the Seahawks won , and now I HAVE TO DRIVE LADYBUG TO WORK!!! It's supposed to be nice today, and there's no frost on the ground this morning (whew!) - works for me!!!

Now for a long workday (inventory tonight) then a four day weekend!!!

Ya think? I kept telling him we should be happy we have other vehicles and that we weren't stuck on the side of the freeway!

On a side note, since I mentioned no frost here, I heard you got snow in Vegas, Hotrod! How weird is that for you?

RubyCamaro - glad things worked out as well as they did for your dad. Wish things were better with the kids. I'll keep you in my prayers.

LBM, like my mom used to say to my brother and me, "if you kids don't quit your whining, I'm coming in there and give you something to really whine about! NOW SHUTUP ALREADY!" Tell Rob if he doesn't shut up already the ol' farts group is gonna come an give him something to whine about already!

On another note - night before last we had sustained winds of 50-60 mph for 12 hours with recorded gusts about 3 blocks north of my house of 102 mph. Thousands of trees down. Debris everywhere. My house lost a few shingles and a piece of aluminum that edges the roof. That's all. I was one of the lucky ones. Others had 100 year old trees fall on their homes or branches come thru the walls. Power was out at my home for about 6 hours. Grandma's house was without power for 24 hours. She stayed with us last night. Some areas are still without power. There is what looks like half of somebody's ladder in my backyard. No idea where that came from. Glad it didn't hit a window. We've got power, we've got water, we've got heat, no internet. How are we ever gonna survive? Hahahahahaha.

P.S. Glad the Seahawks won!!
