Yep, clean the sunroof drains then fix the real leak that is the gap between the wheelhouse and trunk floor. A LasVegas hooker has a smaller gap then I’m seeing in your picture!

I had the same problem with my 2012 camaro 2ss with a moon roof. There are hoses on the top of the inside of the trunk. My problem was that it seemed they went just a little bit past the opening to the drains (which drain through the bottom of the tail lights). What i had to do what get 2 little hose clamps and just lightly tighten them so you don't cut off the flow of water and have a bigger issue. Make sure your battery is not submerged in water like my car was. Normally people won't recognize the water or care enough to look where the battery is. Hope this helps good luck!!!

I know with my car I have to watch closing the trunk and not pinching the wiring harness on the right side.
The wires for the lock I believe?
Anyhow I can see how it's bound up in the seal before.

Update:

I found a leak on the rear right passenger side that is part of the metal A-frame of the vehicle. The leak seeps through and underneath the metal rear A-frame and travels down to the bottom of the trunk. No wonder when I ran a water test I could immediately feel wetness on the outer grey trunk carpet molding right under where I ran the water test. Now my question is this, Which J & B Epoxy glue or Metal surface sealer would any of you guys recommend that can seal the problem and be painted over yellow? The sunroof drains checked out fine with no fluid buildup after I washed the car. I don't know if this is the only leak I'll need to resolve. It is just the starting point perhaps.

Use an automotive seam sealer that has some give instead of JB Weld. JB is good stuff but it will probably crack over time due to body flex.

as bsm said automotive seam sealer, 3M makes good stuff you need flex in those areas like he said jb get hard and crack. then you get to grind it out and start all over

Same issue here. Had trunk stuffed to rim for cross country road trip and took a month after we returned to realize that harness had been reshaped and was folding up like you mention when closing trunk. Used my hands to reshape the harness and prob solved. We've done several stuffed trunk road trips since and I've learned to leave room for the harness to collapse downward when shutting lid.

Another option is lay the back seat down and lay in it that way.

I'll be prepping and taping off sections of my trunk over the weekend for automotive seam sealer solution. I already removed all the A & B Epoxy gunk today. I used a dremel gun with a metal burstone to remove all of it. I also cleaned out all four sunroof drain holes. I used thick weed-wacker trimmer string and got the two fronts done. Since the drain holes on the rear back end of the sunroof are to far to reach, I ended up running the weed-wacker string all the way from the rear of the trunk in each of the drain hole run offs. It made it all the way to the top sunroof drains from the back to the top. That is the only way to really access those rear drain holes since the sunroof when open blocks any real lead way back there. After all the seam seal rebuilding is complete. I will heat shrink the rear back drain tubes. This will hold them in place even better so that they both won't come loose in the future.
