VDI is the best and doesn't adjustmentioned like the cheaper kits. I met an 80 year old guy with a 2011 vette and he had VDI and loved them. No issues

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, whether or not its what one person may like to hear.

The bottom line is that you do what "you" like cause you're never going to please "everyone".

As for the quality of Vertical Doors Inc. - Installed my kit on May 2010 and the car has over 113,000 miles. Original shocks still on the kit and 2 adjustments since then.

Mine have rust spots.

I find it hard to achieve a long term consistent, solid, door alignment.

Only 18 months old.

I have a set of VDI hinges I won in a contest on here. My reasoning for installing them is due to knee joint restrictions. I cannot get out of the car unless the door is all the way out. Lifting the door will open the area at the bottom of the door opening so my feet will clear a lot easier. When parked in a parking stall with a car next to me, I have run into situations where I had to find another parking spot due to not being able to get the door open far enough. I really have no thoughts or intentions to install them for looks, although they don't look bad. So there are more reasons than one to install them. Now I just have to find the time to get them installed.

If you plan on keeping your car forever, and you like vertical doors, by all means...

But you will hurt your re-sale chances of the car by a long shot unless you market it to other folks that like these style of doors. With every change away from factory stock, you shrink your potential buyer base. This is fact. Been proven for years. What YOU may find desirable others may find offensive. Just a fact of amenities.

Personally speaking, I'd pass up any car that has vertical doors. There are some that can do it right, and as seen here in this thread over the years, there are some that have absolutely no idea what they're doing when installing the doors.

With personalization comes great responsibility.

Good point el ess A. What's nice about the VDI kit is that its completely reversible. When they installed my doors, they gave me the stock hinges and hardware so that when I trade or sell my car, I can take off the vertical kit. Gives a little peace of mind.
