I went to visit a car buddy of mine who now lives in another town nearby. A couple of months ago he purchased a Mustang Dark Horse. It's a pretty neat car, but not in the same league as my ZL1. It's a base car with a manual transmission. I was surprised that the MSRP was 61k. The base car has 255/275 tires on 19 inch wheels. The performance package that costs another 5k to is required to get bigger wheels and tires. I have to say the stock exhaust on it sounds really good and the exhaust tips are huge. It's also a big car. Bigger than the prior S550.

Ouch brother, that sucks, so sorry to hear it.

I know you didn't ask for my advice, but here it is anyway : IMO it's time for true forged wheels, either the SS 1LEs I have, genuine ZL1 1LE wheels to replace yours with the same style, or some other 19" aftermarket forged beauties. Forged wheels will be much less likely to bend than these "flow formed" MRR wheels.

(One more thing, if you just want a replacement wheel, I'd give MRR a call no matter what )

Added a Airaid intake tube/performance dry filter, that uses the factory filter air box.

I'm digging that intake setup. Any advantage if one is not tuned?

Boy, that Mustang looks like an evolution of the Camaro, what the 7th Gen Camaro might have been. Both cars look good in white. Definitely prefer your Z!

LOL! My friend did complain about the Ford build quality. He even had to adjust the front fenders and the trunk lid because of the poor fitment.

I swapped mine out for the K&N kit. 95% of the reason was because I hate the look of the ribbed intake - it starts turning brown way too quickly. The other 5% - if I gained a couple of hp, great; if not, I still like the look so much better.

First I have heard of these! As noted, there really isn't a spot big enough for this on the front of a sixth gen. Every front plate option for our cars involves some sort of compromise, though...

It seems like the vinyl option will "wear out" a lot faster than a metal front plate. What's the estimated replacement schedule and process?
