Falling apart might be a little extreme of wording that I used. I'm just incredibly picky and have dog like hearing, I can hear the slightest rattle even with the volume up at 14. Plus my friend is interested in it and I would rather it go to a friend than some random douche that is only buying it to pick up chicks.

now I wonder what kind of quarter miles we talking bout here.... I just found a few links that say the 2008 M3 can do 13.4 second quarter miles... so I guess it's about a half second slower than a fifth gen Camaro. What is the fastest time for a stock 5th gen Camaro again, 12.9?

2011 Specs

0–100 km/h 4.7 sec[30] (E90 M DKG Drivelogic)
0-60 mph 3.9 sec measured by Car and Driver magazine.
(2011 E90/E92 w/ M-DCT trans)
1/4 mile: 12.4 sec. @ 114 mph. (2011 E90/E92 w/ M-DCT Trans)

The one I am looking at is a DCT too so that should be fun to me also If I was buying a car simply to go straight I would only have to go grab an older American car . The Camaro corners great but it's no M3 in the corners/twisties.

I'm starting to sell roofing, renovations etc. and at 15% commission money can really start to add up.

you take a m3 to a track, not a drag, and you will found out why people like m3s so much.

And how many "tracks" are there out there for the common man to go to?????? We priced a couple of road course's for our club and it was stupid expensive...........Just buy what you want man and leave it be........ I think BMW's are cool and all " mom has two of them ..... X5 and 328" I wouldn't trade my SS for both if I had to keep them , but that's me...............

Still looks like an amazing car and Id buy one if I could afford it, I just love when luxury brands make things sound 100x better than it is. Still flat black paint haha. Or like Mercedes calling their turbos, "compressors", or the New X5 "M" package, "M" package really just meaning rim package.

That and drag racing really just stresses the drive train and engine, mostly the drive train though as the engine can handle short bursts of hard acceleration. Tracking however puts serious stress on almost every important component for long periods of time.

hey Darkness! Long time no see! I

see you are still in your 2010 LT, noice, noice! I am glad all worked out for you! I gotta say that in my humble opinion, the LT 5th Gen Camaro has the biggest advantage over this here M3 we are all hollerin' about here for one thing: price. The 5th gen Camaro, especially the V6 cars have so much to offer for so little money (especially when compared to a BMW M3) that you have nothing to make excuses for. You get alot of car with a 5th gen Camaro, V6 or V8 and an BMW cannot compare value wise, short or long term.

If you have the money for a BMW M3, there are plenty of choices out there but for the money a Camaro demands SS, LT or LS there is nothing else that even comes close! Again, in my most humble of opinions... I own my own company for 15 years now and I could afford a BMW no problem, but I just don't see the value proposition in it when considering long term costs. Status symbols don't get me to buy a bimmer or other such rides, performance and value mean alot to me and I feel I have receive more than fair value for my Camaro! Thank you GM! A+ eB

Used 75 Camaro = $3500
Rolling restoration over 10 years = $5000
$5 of gas burned in 10 seconds = Priceless!

well put add side the tracks for both camaro and m3. just going by road feel, and handling the m3 takes the cake. i also have a 328i, and i must say that thing may not be nearly as fast and my camaro, but it feels better for daily driving. handles better, feels like its better made. ( which it is ) .i still like my camaro better not get me wrong, but a m3 is a better car. and ya it cost more.

the m3 is a a all around better car, no debating that. is it worth 60k+ i dont think so. but its still better than a camaro SS.

I haven't driven an M3 , but I do not doubt what you are saying about it. The 328 is a blast to drive for sure , I detailed mom's a month or so ago and had fun with it on the drive home. It is one hell of a nice car.........Just not for me....

The M3 looks like a Chevy Cruze. Save some money and just buy the Cruze!
