Want my car to sound similar to this

This is my dad's 1967 Firebird, I've been thinking I want to make my Camaro sound similar to it. I know it wouldn't be completely possible due to many circumstances. His car has side pipes coming straight from the engine and no mufflers. I've been looking at the Borla ATAK for the Camaro but I wanted personal opinions on what I should do because my car is a automatic. I personally never hear the drone that everyone talks about but I'm sure the ATAK exhaust would accentuate it, should I just tune out AFM or what? Could someone with an L99 give me some advice, no offense to the Manual guys but I have seen other AFM threads turn in to flame wars. Constructive feedback only please!

If your dad's Firebird had side pipes with no mufflers it probably had a worked motor as well, mainly a performance cam. If you throw a catback system on your car it will be louder, but wont sound like a worked 67 firebird with side pipes and no mufflers AND you will have terrible drone. on the bright side you will keep your warranty. if you do a catback, cam, and the removal of the AFM system that a decent cam requires, and the tune all that requires you will have a better shot of sounding like your dads car, and it will be a hell of alot faster then now. it will void your warranty and drop at least twice as much money as just a catback system. three times as much if you dont do your own labor. do it though cuz it will make your dad proud and its how the car should have come from the factory.
