Do you think there will be a new 'Transformers Edition' Camaro?

Well the new Transformers 3 movie is coming out in July, and I'm sure most us of remember the previous 'Transformers' edition Camaro that GM made when Transformers 2 came out.

Do you guys think there will be another Transformers Edition Camaro coming out with the new movie? (I know there are some rumors about a possible TF edition but just rumors)

If they do, I think they would just add badges and maybe the same stripe design at TF3.

You can bet on a new Transformers edition. I think it will be similar to the first one: mainly logos.

GM seems to bounce off the walls in the past few years. You just never know what they will do. No consistency with them.

It would really need to be done on the 2012 model, and I think they've already got their plans in place for 2012 on what special editions they're going to release. As Bonanza said, though, they're liable to come up with ANYTHING at this pont.

Now, they may come out with parts you can buy through GMPP inspired by the movie car, but part II of a complete Transformers movie edition car seems rather unlikely. Timing of the movie along with model year changeover doesn't seem to jibe. After the contract issues they had the first time around, not sure GM and Hasbro want to go down that path again anyway. But you never know.

Probably no, and I say this because there really aren't a huge amount (relative term) of Transformers editions on the road today, and I'm assuming that it costs a decent amount of money to make a new special edition (new hood, new logos, other stuff that I don't know of) and I bet that GM doesn't see as much future demand for the Transformers edition like it did when the 5th gen first came out. It was a great idea that probably paid off in 2010, but not likely so in 2012.

I hope not. I enjoy the movies and while it is cool to see a Camaro as one of the heros, I would enjoy the movie just as well if there wasn't a Camaro in it. I have one in the garage I can look at if I get the urge and IMHO it looks a lot better than Bumblebee. Its been done and a new movie is no reason for GM to base their automotive lineup on it.

They could always announce it when the movie comes out and make it later, lol

What happened between GM and Hasbro? Was it some issue over the T2 Bee design?
Anyways I do think it's interesting that the actual design they used in Transformers 3 is basically the same as the Jay Leno Camaro form SEMA2009. I wonder who owns this Jay Leno Camaro design...maybe Jay Leno himself lol
