Porter Cable 7424XP Unboxing (Pictures)
Just got myself a new Porter Cable 7424XP.
gonna share some unboxing pics with y'all. Here we go... everything don't forget about this washer before mounting your backing plate 5" counter weight pre-installed (although box says 6"). All 7424 and 7424XP comes with 5" counter weight. the speed control dial bigger on/off switch compare to the 7424 |

Now you need some of Adam's polishing pads! I have used other polishing pads in my day. I have found adam's to be the best bang for your buck.

i just got mine and started using adams polishes. the junkman's videos sold me, and now my paint looks amazing. youll be happy that you bought it

I think it has a more powerful motor and maybe a longer cord, but certainly no reason to trade up from an older 7424.

I love my porter cable buffer you will use it on every Car,Truck,and Bike you own makes life so much easier!!! It is very user friendly and you can't screw up you paint unless you are trying really hard to do so, I'm sure you will fall in love with it the frist time you use it and your Camaro will look awsome how could you go wronge??

I got mine last week from auto detailing solitions.com. Comes with a meguiars backing plate plus a free Lake Country pad of your choice. Best investment into my mobile detailing business yet

The lake country pads were too stiff for me. I use Adam's pads they have a lot more flexibility and make it easier to buff those hard to reach places.

Everyone has there opinion. I just know that Lake Country and Meguiars are the best pad choices that I have used so far. I have not tried Adam's yet but I dont really like their polishes IMO.

How often do you use something like this? It seems like it must take a bit of clearcoat so you wouldn't wanna be doing it all the time right?

check this out... I tried my Porter Cable 7424XP with a 4" Orange Pad.
using Meguiar's Professional series Swirl Remover 2.0 and some patient. I'm in love ! here is the results (on my girlfriend's 98 honda prelude): BEFORE AFTER |
