Can you see if the blend door is moving under the dash? It could be a wiring issue for the controls.

I thought hot coolant was always runing to the heater core. An actuator rotates a shaft on a blend door in the heater box to control how much air passes across the heater core. e.i. If you have the temperature set to low, only a small portion of the air passes across the heater core. The rest bypasses around the heater core. Or in this case it is stuck closed and you get "Luke warm" air like the author states. It blends indoor air with hot air from the heater core. So this would point me to the actuator or blend door???

I love to learn and I learn something everyday on camaro5 so if I'm missing something here let me know. I would hate to give someone bad advice and they rip their dash up for no reason. But I guess that's a chance you take when asking for pro advice on a fourm...

This is a COMMON failure with the Camaro. Rather than look that up, you
decided to type an anecdote? When the door BREAKS, it falls down on an
angle, OR will completely fall inside the box. Thus, you get the hot from
the core, and whatever the outside air is. Turn the A/C on, you now have
cold and hot air mixing in that box. It's a always on BLEND, not hot nor cold.
I mean, there are a shit load of You Tube videos, and you come up with
this as your best?

You should have looked it up before your anecdotal reply...

Chill out. All he is doing is discussing the problem. Not everyone knows everything the way you do.

Wow, the only thing that creates more ire than a broken blend door, is discussing a broken blend door.

Yeah, don't do the absurd thing, and look it up... No use for that, when
you can just disagree blindly.

When the door FALLS down, both the core and condenser are
exposed. No matter what air you pull in, it will pass over BOTH of them.
If the A/C is not on, then you get the warm air from the core, since it's
not on 100% hot. IF the A/C is on, then you still get a mixture of the
hot air from the core, and evaporator.

IF the door should fall down on an angle, you're still going to have both
of those exposed, but eventually, it will fall. The blend door, moves
to the CORE side as you go cooler, so that when it covers the
core, you're getting all cold air from outside or AC. COLD MAX is where
it sheers off at the actuator. The door can't go any farther, but the
actuator twists on the end at the motor, and it sheers off eventually.

Now, it can stick there COLD for a time, but every time you get in the car,
and power up, the actuator sweeps, and it will eventually fall down.
Bumps and potholes, it will eventually fall down. If you can catch
it cold when it breaks, and unplug the actuator, it may stay there.
One good hit in a bump or pothole, repeatedly, it will still fall down into
the box.

Evaporator, not condenser. The condenser is by the radiator. Just stating for correct terminology.

I fixed it, I swear, I saw Evaporator when I typed it, man I am gettin'
old... I know it is evaporator, and STILL typed condenser, the HUGE
one in front of the radiator... Wow...

Watched the video again on how the door sweeps, and corrected that too.
