Time for a name?

I've had the car two whole days now and haven't named him yet.

Originally, I thought of calling him "Sleeper," since there's no indication that it's anything other than a V6, but I started to think that it might be an overused term. A little bit ago, I thought about "Stealth."

Opinions?

"Naming an inanimate object is never something that has crossed my mind"
Lol.. That's fair.

Buy mine has a name by default. Didn't plan or think on it. It just happened. The SS is just a play car and we have 3 vehicles, Accord, Tacoma, the SS. When ever the wife and I head out (empty nesters so just us) and have to decide on which vehicle, the SS is always referred to as "Lets take Big Red".

Only a couple I can think of right away are:

TRY IT(For those that think they can beat you since you're Superchaged)

SUPRBLU(Abbreviated "Super Blue" For Supercharged and Blue(car color)

I'll keep thinking

You are not. But I also believe 100% in "you do you".

For MrsCurr and I it was "'my car', 'her car,' or 'the car'" for whichever one we were taking.

Tron, I am old school. The car handles like the scene when they’re racing the bikes in the movie.

I agree with the others, I’ve never been one to name cars or objects as a matter of process. Recently they’ve gotten aliases, but it’s more of an organic occurrence. Unless you’re building a show car or intend to compete somewhat professionally, deliberately naming a vehicle seems a little trite for me. I don’t begrudge people for doing it because in the end it’s harmless and fun for some, but I am rolling my eyes behind your back and silently judging you for it.

That said, our Camaro is our daughter’s “Race Car”, because our other cars are my truck and my wife’s CUV. My 5-YO daughter thought it was a race car by comparison, and the name stuck. This made the 4th gen that I’ve had for almost 3 decades “Daddy’s Race Car” by default. My truck recently has developed a torque converter problem, so instead of “Dad’s Truck,” it’s now “Ol’ Lurchy.” Then there’s “Mom’s Vuick” because the kid didn’t connect that Buick starts with “B.” Lastly, there’s the “Beater Buick” because that’s how our sales person set it up in the OnStar app for the free trial. It’s since been changed in the app, but the nick-name remained.

Otherwise previous vehicles have been identified as the model name, the brand or the primary driver. Except for the “Silver Bullet” Chevette I drove in High School, a name it earned after I won a drag race against my buddy’s Chevette (technically Sister Marcia won just by walking alongside in her off-kilter nun’s habit with nary a sway in the rosary hanging at her hip) or the Saab 9-2x that everyone called a Saabaru (boy, did that ever start to be a tired bit), so I had to correct them that it was Japandanavian (If you've heard the term, it started with me). It’s only since the kid came along have my cars had monikers. Almost forgot: my cars don’t have genders either, so, if you need to, you’re welcome to silently judge me for going “woke” on that aspect...

Sleepy, like the Seven Dwarves? Because "sleepers are fun" is exactly what I thought when I read your first thread about the car!

Super generic, but my car texted me and I named the contact "Cam".
I don't think I get texts anymore without the Onstar stuff, but the name sorta stuck

Other people seem to call it the Bat Mobile, which I guess I can see

"SUPRBLU" is definitely an interesting idea for a personalized plate ... I think "TRY IT" might get me a bit more attention than I want

Understandable on the TRY IT. Also thought about:

BLUEBYU or BLUBYOU (Blew By You)...kinda cool, but understand it could also be an "attention getter"

Maybe "ROYALS" (For your Royal Blue car color)?

I just gave the car it's 1st bath, and Loony Tunes popped into my head ... "RDRNNR," as a license plate ...

After all, it's blue, it's fast, and a coyote will have a hard time trying to catch me
