Hey Joe, I'm new here. I'm currently waiting to hear back from my dealer on thursday involving my camaro order. He does have an allocation for me but he states that he will not know what constraints there will be for this order period until thursday. I am trying to order a wild cherry tintcoat 2ss 1LE camaro with 6 speed manual and power sunroof. He claims that there are currently no restraints on those options but that may change come this order period starting thursday. Any advanced notice on your end? or will you also not know until thursday?

You might get lucky (e.g. if there's a cancelled order) but refer to the Constraints thread in this same channel for the latest updates as right now all 2SS are currently constrained so sorry to bear bad news but I'd be surprised...

It definitely sucks. Had an order in with another dealer since October that could never get an allocation. I had called this dealer and they are doing everything they can to make this happen for me. (been saving for this car for the past year and a half) but it looks like I may have to settle for a 1SS. I really dont want to lose all the extras a 2SS comes with but everything is still up in the air regarding the 2023 camaro and I'm scared I won't be able to order the same car or price range in a 2023 camaro with the different engine, ecm, and transmission rumors....

By the way, does anyone know what the reason is for the constraint on the 2SS? Like what equipment does the 2SS have versus the 1SS that they arent able to produce at the moment

Lots of extra electronics that require specific chips.

I’d look in the constraints thread, pretty sure there was a post about certain 2SS trim items that were on constraint, the obvious answer is tech/gadget items that a 1SS doesn’t have.

Figures. This whole process has been such a stressfull pain in the rear with all the automotive industry setbacks in the past year as well as deadlines. It'd be nice if they'd extend the 2022 order book back a little.

Hey Joe, I’m sure when you look up an order it only shows so much, but does it specify by chance why my TPW has been pushed back 3 times now? It is weekly constraints related? Not upset or anything, just wondering if it says why.
