The car you miss the most.

I imagine most of you have owned several cars over the years. What do you miss the most? For me it is a BMW 2002 TII followed by my 74 Dodge Charger that was back halved a lived on a steady diet of too much nitrous oxide. What do you miss?

My 96’ Impala SS.

I see another 4-door performance vehicle in my future.

None really, the only "decent" car I owned before the SS was a 2006 Volvo S40 and the piece of shit broke down every month at least once, for 7 months straight. I'm not joking when I say the repairs of that thing cost me more monthly than the payments of my SS lol. Before that I've only owned like 6-7 old shitboxes from the late 90s, with the exception of a decent Clio that was cheap in gas.

1981 Z28 metallic charcoal grey with silver vinyl interior. I owned it from 1981 to 1984. I was the second owner. The original owner sold it to my mom so he could buy a Smoky and the Bandit Trans Am.

I see cars just like it come up on Instagram. Id love to be able to buy one someday.

Probably my 1976 Chevelle. My dad bought the car brand new when I was 2 years old. When I turned 12 the car needed body work but was still solid. My dad was gonna get rid of it. Alls I knew was it was a Chevelle, had the same Corvette rally’s as a Corvette and the same sized engine. I begged for the car and he gave it to me. When I got my license at 16 the car was mint. I put a cam, intake, carb, headers and exhaust between 14-15 years old.
They aren’t desirable but the car was beautiful and I got lots of compliments. Tons of fun and tons of learning experience.

My other one would be my 1988 Iroc-z 1LE. It was mint and it was really fast for an Iroc. 305 LB9 engine. Went 14.5 at 100mph bone stock with like a 2.3 sixty foot. That car lived a lot at 140 mph. Like long long distances. From Niagara Falls to Toronto sometimes. The whole distance. That’s one car I should have never gotten rid of.

My heavily modified and upgraded 1985 Monte Carlo SS. ZZ4 crate motor with updated cam and head work. Custom built tranny to handle the power, 9" rear swap, hotchkis suspension, updated larger brakes, 17" ZQ8 wheels with Bridgestone Comp tires. Cowl induction, B&M shifter. Fantastic car! Lots of fun, turned heads, went like a bat out of hell, woke the neighbors and won a few shows too!

Aaah, the memories...... also a small soft spot for the 1971 Datsun 240Z I had when I was about 19ish....first "fun" car I had.

Thanks for this thread!

2004 Volvo S60R, stock form, 300 hp, AWD, 6 speed manual.

Heavily modded, ~ 400hp, but ultimately a cracked cylinder sleeve

Very fun car but the repair costs to performance level was at the end of the day a losing proposition

'89 Toyota Supra Turbo ~400hp
Not many people knew what it was at the time (early 2000s). Usually it was middle-agers that gave me thumbs up. Body/paint were mint(pretty rare). Cruising on a cool summer night with the top off, wind through my hair and turbo spool in my ears was bliss.
