Traction Control (TCS) engaging for no reason.

My TCS is engaging and applying the brakes for absolutely no reason. It happens when I'm driving around 10-15mph and I'm not pressing the accelerator. It happens both when I'm turning and driving straight in warm weather and on pavement.... no gravel or dirt roads hah.

I have a 2013 1LT with 4900 miles and stock. Has anyone experienced this? I'm making an appointment with the dealership for tomorrow.

No one has any insight into this? Surely I'm not the only person, lol... or maybe I am?

Took it to the dealer today and the service mechanic said he's never seen one do this and had "no idea what it is."

I had to drive him around to explain when it happens. It only happens when coasting and when I'm not pressing the brake or accelerator. I had to leave the car overnight and I'm hoping they have some answers for me in the morning.

Stock/ correct sized tires on the car front and rear? Other than that probably a wheel speed sensor issue dealer should be able to sort it out for you

Yeah, all the wheels are stock/correct size. I hadn't thought about the wheel sensors... makes sense. It's staying overnight at the dealership. Hopefully I'll hear something later today.

Thanks for the reply.

I'm sorry to hear about the issues with your TCS BigRed82, but I applaud you for taking the vehicle to the dealership for a diagnosis. I want to document this case for you and make sure the repair process goes smoothly. Would you message me your VIN and the name/location of the dealership you're working with?

I'll PM you.

To update anyone who might have this problem later... the problem was the wheel speed sensor in one of the rear wheels. Dealership said they don't keep them stocked so it has to stay the weekend until Monday.
