Had my 5 for a couple weeks, what should be my first mod?

I bought a 1LT with the RS package and black racing stripe package with silver ice metallic paint.

I'm dying to mod something so what would you suggest first?

I'm leaning towards doing something simple like upgrade the fog lights since they're a yellow eyesore in comparison to the HID's...

That would be a good first mod. But I personally did my CAI inc cold air intake first. Pretty simple and a great mod. One of my favorites so far.

This, in this order. It's what I did, and glad I did it.
Congratulations on your new car!

Welcome! First mod - up your credit card limit.

Second mod - CAI (CAI brand), Elite or RX catch can, MRT 2.0 exhaust. I don't know enough about the TB though I've read some good things.

I have the new DRL bulbs in the garage waiting for a good day to put them in.

For the OP, Headers & Tune = win, but; Headers & Tune <> warranty, so read up on that before making your final decision.

Thank you! That's important as I plan on trading this car in a couple years.

You are getting some great advice here. I'd do catch can first (debatably will prolong the life of your engine) Then cold air intake (i also like the brand CAI which i have now on my v8. When i had my v6 i had the injen long tube intake which i also liked) It will also deepen the sound of your exhaust a little bit so it's a win win. Next i'd get the MRT 2 mufflers, they sound great on the v6.

If you'd like to get more intensive down the line, (assuming nothing has changed in the past 6 months since i had my v6) you can tune it, then always flash it back to the stock tune if you have to take it in for any warranty issues. It's very easy and takes 30 seconds once you know what you're doing. Then i'd get LT headers.

My .02

Good luck!

I do appreciate all the good advice I'm being given!

I think I will start with the CAI first since it's a given.

Is this the brand you are all speaking of: http://www.coldairinductions.com/sto...old-air-intake

I didn't expect I'd spend $399 for a CAI but if you say it's the best, I believe you.
