I disconnected the center channel and put in an AudioControl ESP-2 for the front speakers- it made the imaging much better. I will probably stick a set of Polk MOMO components in the doors and swap in an amp just because I have a lot of extra stuff sitting in the garage. It doesn't need it, but might as well since it's just sitting there.

Thats what I said. My winter car kills the BA setup. $200 components with fiberglass tweeter pods up front, about 300 in a 12 and amp in the trunk, and a basic head unit that prolly retails about 100 bucks.

The car is small, so that helps. I had the same stuff in a 95 buick and it was not enough. It is plenty in a 01 Cougar. Cleaner than the Camaro at all volume levels. Also gets a decent bit louder.
