2021 Chevrolet TrailBlazer - First Look

This was supposed to replace the Trax but Chevy has decided to keep the Trax for a few more years. This new Trailblazer fits in right between the Trax and Equinox. Which was much needed, imo. The trax rides on an outdated platform and is too small for some people while the Equinox may be too large. This trailblazer will come with the new 9 speed auto in the AWD version. I like the styling of this one over the Trax and Equinox.

So say what you want about it, it's an entry level CUV meant to be fuel efficient and offer AWD. I think it will sell well. Thoughts?

They'll sell a million of them.

They would have sold a million of them, even if the called it they called it something else and brought the global Trailblazer to the US market.

Yeah, I agree, folks are certainly having trouble naming vehicles nowadays. These things will fly off the lot. I do prefer the general look/feel on the larger Blazer over this mini version.

Lol, where do you see Silverado in it? It's like a mini, boxier Blazer.

..

I agree with you guys it will sell really well. It's pretty much what everyone wanted the Trax to be. It's based on the same platform as the all new Encore GX which I'm sure will sell well too:

This is a nice little SUV with a great looking interior. I think it will do well.

Saw it in person yesterday. Smaller than I thought it was. Seems like a good car.

Wasn't trying to say it looked like the Silverado, just saying that GM styling lately to me has been way off.

Silverado - Ugly
Silverado HD - abomination to the eyes
Blazer- No bueno
TrailBlazer - no bueno
19 Camaro SS - even they admitted it was a mistake by changing it for 20.

I just think Chevy is really struggling with exterior design lately

Is this is what Chevrolet is reduced to? Someone needs to take a long hard look at their current state of cars. I understand that this is a trend, but honestly one can go to any make and get an anonymous and ugly looking vehicle. Chevrolet once meant a lot more.

Many, many folks would disagree with you on the looks of the Blazer, and I'm betting the Trailblazer also. My wife is hot for a Blazer, and that says somethin.

You are probably right, the Blazer is one of those cars that is 100% trim dependent for me to even think it looks passable though. I see to much of Camaro styling in it and to me it doesn't translate well in non RS trims.

I think the Blazer looks good, I just wish it wasn't called a Blazer...
