Fun post: Whats the Funny-diotic lie that your Dealer told you about the camaro?

Im planning to buy a 2ss and Im really concern about the idiocity of Most of dealers here in orlando area...

Lie No 1

-the LE1 is the ZL1 - the LSA supercharged... but the engine still the same (FAIL!)

Lie No 2

-the white SS or red SS are optional (they try to sold me a 1ss as 2ss)

http://www.coxchevy.com/inventory/20...k1ej3c9125279/

Lie No 3

-the dealer can install aftermarket parts... (really Im not sure about this.. but may be is true)

Lie No 4

-the 2013 ss has a different automatic transmission

Lie No 5

-the automatic ZL1 also got AFM

Lie No 6

-the 2001 Camaro SS came with a SUPERCHARGED FROM FACTORY!

Lie No 7

-my z28 cost 2.000 LoL

Soo.. guys how want to share some funny moments at your dealers??

Regarding #2. That is a 2SS Non-RS. The white SS = non-RS. Has nothing to do w/ 1SS vs. 2SS.

Yea these GM saleman are pretty stupid. Many of them do'nt know a damn thing about what theyre selling besides what the sticker on the window says about the car. And not to mention, what your salesman tells you and what the service dept tells you are 2 different things simply because salesman are not affiliated with the service dept. Now they can pull strings per se. But most can promise you the moon, but if its not paper, it was never said.

I walked in and saw a 2011 427 camaro on the showroom for $50k. I asked the dealer if there was a 427 engine in it as Id not heard of this happening. (I believe it was an SLP product) The salesman tells me no thats the horsepower.

I was like really? An SS comes with 426HP. SO this 427 Camaro costs $15k more for 1 more HP? What a dumbass!

Mine was honest, errr, for a car dealer. He said "You probably know more about this thing than I do."

Same with mine, but he was trying to research/ask everybody there before speaking.

Mine said the same thing to me. I can respect that way more than them trying to feed me a line.

I've posted this before but my conversation while I was getting my free tank of gas:
*handing keys to salesman*
me: Make sure you put premium in.
salesman: oh it runs perfectly fine on 87.
me: No just put premium in, just a half tank if money is the issue I don't want it on the low spark table.
salesman: You can even run it on E85
me: Nevermind I don't need a free tank of gas...

I don't have anything to contribute here 'cause I'm purchasing my SS through Becky @ Rodgers Chevrolet.

If the car you are talking about in lie #2 is the link you posted, then it is a 2SS non RS but almost has all the features of an rs but no hid headlights.

I just went and bought a tundra with the 4.6l v8, used from a dodge dealer.

The salesman riding with me is like, yeah its got the 5.7l, basically the same engine as our hemi.

I was like its a 4.6l, DOHC, 32 valve. Its an entirely different engine.

Yeah, we were done, I completely owned the car and he just followed me to the gas station and swiped his card and I pumped the gas myself, so no problems with that.

"They only made 4,500 45th Anniversary Camaros"

This was disappointing when I found out the truth.
