2013 SS? or 2001 z28?

Hello to all! has been a while since my last time here.. My question today is related to the fact that I went to test drive a Camaro (2SS 2013) ... but unlike the one i had in Bogota (back in 2011) ... this did't seem so fast ... is a really great car.. !is amazing! .. but I have my doubts because not feel much different than my current Camaro (Z28 01) ..(what I spected for a V gen camaro)

I compared everything between the two cars and reach the conclucion that are way too different from each other: S on one hand the V Camaro is a car equipped with modern technology and is soo "imposing" on the street, but my z28 feels faster (and is stock .. aa .. I think.. not sure) and see a 4 gene in orange sunset painted flawless as this mine is stranger than seeing a ss, also the old camaro is more fun to frive .. I would like to comment on that decision would you take, in my place

1 buy the SS (2013)

Stay with the z28 2 (2001)

If you can swing both, I say keep both. I'm in the minority and really like the LS1 4th gens.

Older ones feel faster for some reason, I've heard it's due to the lighter weight and looser chassis. But they are definitely NOT faster. They really aren't much slower, but if you race one the difference is quite clear. You are getting a way better interior, more safety, far superior handling etc. Straight line performance isn't everything, but it's still there.

My 01 Hawk with LTs, lid and a tune would destroy my stock SS. Those LS1 fbodys are no joke. Stock for stock I could see one hanging with a new SS.

Let me tell you from experience.. I Had a 2000 Z28.. That car to this day is still my fav.. The 2011 SS is coming very close to overtaking it. I don't know whay it's taking so long.. I had great times in that car. Fast and fun.. Good luck with your decision

o.p must have test driven the L99 with on-site dealer 87 octane(low-octane table tune).

To me the 5th gens feel more solid and reliable.

Keep both for sure. A sunburst orange metallic Camaro Z28 in good condition would be a heart breaker to sell.
