if i had the money right now, and was older than 25, i would have bought the vette over the camaro... that being said i would want a Z06 or ZR1... so by the time i am 25, i'm hoping to be able to get at least a new Z06

Last time I worked at a dealership, they had put a limit on the amount of rewards points you could use towards a certain vehicle. You may want to look it up, I think you can only use a grad towards a vett. That may effect your choice.

I am pretty sure it is 1k for vettes....the most i've ever seen is 3k for the less popular models.

I'm more than sure the Z28 will reach production. GM cannot come out with a pre-pro and than not make it they would be the laughing stock of the muscle car industry. We need a GT500 killer!

Dealer ran it through and it was accepted for me, all the points. But I really think I'm going to hold out for the Camaro Z28, the Vette is awesome, I've had a couple already. But the Vette is on it's last leg and the C7 will be out before you know it and as soon as it is announced you can expect an even bigger drop in depreciation. But who knows I'll decide by Friday!

Sure they could! Just like Dodge made the concept/mule tester of the SRT10 Challenger with the Vipers 600 HP, 8.0L V10.

Although this point is true the SRT-10 was a much bigger longshot compared to the Z28. And not to start anything GM is in better shape right now than Dodge in muscle car sales. An SRT-10 Chally would start in the high 50's not the high 40's which would price it out of the Z28 and T500 range kind of like the SRT-8 with the SS and GT 5.0. I understand what you are saying but I personally find it very unlikely that this car doesn't hit the market the demand is to great not to.

My dealer told me that his GM rep told him that realistically the first Z28 batch will not hit the streets till very late 2011 early 2012. And I plan on getting the 2nd batch of Z28's incase of bugs with the car and also so I can read about it in tests first.

So I think I will go with the Vette GS for now and just trade it in for the Z28 in 2012, my dealer told me the C7 Vette isn't expected until 2015-2016 at the earliest. And they told me I won't take a bath on the car at all, if I kept the SS and waited I would at the time the Z28 came out they said, makes sense. So Vette GS it is for now. See you on the road!

You can only use $1500 of the GM points. They will not let you use all $4000 on a single purchase. Wait for the Z28.
