I wouldn't know personally. Just went with my builders recommendation.

Anyprogress yet? I am about to start my 4l80e swap from this m6. I will be going full manual Valve body. Anything needed for the speedo to work?

If you don't hook anything at all up to the vss. It will read off the vss. The problem is it throws a cel. If you can live with the cel you don't need to hook anything up. If you want the cel off hook up the speedo output of whatever controller you are using to pin 71 in the ecm.

The latter may seem simpler but my tci ez tcu was reading 4mph at 40 and 6mph at 70. Everything was way off so I disconnected it to read off the speed sensors.

Took mine for a ride yesterday and have the same issue (US Shift hooked to pin 71). There may be some settings in the controller software to manipulate the VSS signal. As soon as I diagnose my mechanical issues, I will look into this.
