Boosted cars tend to throw the best flames with all of that fuel. I use to have a civic that would throw about 2-3 foot long flames. lol. My 1le does it now. It does it best after a high rpm run. Sometimes it's loud enough to feel it in my seat.

Unhappy Flames

I'm getting my car tuned today but I have no cats, 1 7/8 long tubes, 3 inch exhaust, and a cold air intake and mine shot out 2-3 foot blue flames last weekend after I raced someone and it's shot out little baby flames a few times. I'm really going to miss the flames once I tune😔😔

Dang, I didn't realize I was driving a potential flame thrower! I remember back in the day when you could turn the ignition off and on and blow the muffler completely off the car. Instant open headers! (when they used U-clamps to hold parts on)

Technically yes they are required in illinois but is easy to get around. There is no visual inspection so as long as you have a tune to get rid of any cel you'll be fine. I myself removed my factory cats and have passed emissions.

This isn't harmful to the car in anyway? Seems like the tuner should ask if you want decel popping or flames and tune it accordingly

The cars I heard on here sounded like crap that were "tuned" for flames with that popping standing still I am sure its not the best for anything.....

Igniting the gas in a exhaust if way old, it dates back to like American graffiti with putting a couple coils out back and spark plugs wired to the exhaust tips , but the cars were not altered in the timing...or tuned for making flames other than maybe cutting the ignition for a split second to pump more gas into the exhaust just to do it for show.

Have also seen dual mode exhaust like mine which does have beautiful Decel popping shoot little balls of flames out the exhaust on here just stock built cars not altered in tune in a attempt to eliminate the Decel popping. And its the decal popping form the fuel cut off doing exactly that..making little fire balls; now when it makes the excess gas catch fire in the exhaust. No need to make your car sound like that one in that old video IMO it would make me laugh and want it changed if that was the way my exhaust sounded I would be embarrassed.

I love the decel pop especially with the muffler delete, but I'll take flames!
