..I think it’s showing off. I’ve had the 24 V8 CE 2 days and I’ve had 2 other Camaros, a Challenger and a Mustang roll up beside me and rattle off their pipes. We gotta play a little. What did we get them for?

I think it's just camaraderie, all our cars are extinct or on the verge.

I've had some people do that, heck I have myself. Definitely a sort of brotherhood like Arpad said. It feels different these days knowing we're all the last of a breed.

Sports cars around me usually want to play, but it's trucks and beat up old luxury cars that don't know how to get someone's attention without being overly aggressive/dangerous.

This! Last September I was just out for a drive and I was the first one at a stop light...this truck pulls up next to me clearly wanting to let loose(revving, lurching forward, etc). I noticed it was Ford Shelby truck(750hp)...so I laughed to myself and when the light turned green, I let my car do the talking and did what you'd expect....made him look stupid and within 3 short seconds he was long in the rearview...haha..moron!
