I love how well the seats hold me in at high Gs in the 1LE. Even still, you can out-drive their capability and have to go to harnesses, but they are definitely a good step above most non-suede type seats.

I don't hate cloth seats, I had them in my WRX and prefer that a lot of the time. I don't like tan/white/red leather interiors you are going to ruin if you have some crap on your bump you don't see or whatever. Those are for show-cars and stuff that doesn't get driven IMO.

I generally like leather, but I also don't really like how old leather looks after a few years with the creases and wear marks.

I have a gen 5Z,1LE, and an LT1. Hate pleather seats especially in summer. When i ordered my LT1,got it with Recaro's, probably would have checked the box for suede wheel and shift knob , but it was only available with A10 and that third pedal meant infintely more than a grip surface on the wheel and shift knob. The alcantara is definitely higher maintenance.

I like the alcantara, as some others say it just "feels" more premium, and so soft.. I have it on the seats, wheel, and knob, and it all feels nice. I thought I'd hate it on the shifter but actually grew to like it.

Now, if I still worked a job where I dealt with dirt and grease my opinion would take a hard left turn..

I prefer leather over Alcantara for everything, especially the steering wheel and shift knob. I think I'm going to order a Leather Steering wheel from GM to replace the one that came on the ZR1. I may do the same for the shift knob.

I can't stand alcantara, so I changed the door cards, knee pads, steering wheel and shifter to leather. The only alcantara left in my car is on the seat surfaces, which is great for butt grip.

I prefer leather in general, but microsuede does perform better in terms of grip, it's better for track use.

Microsuede just has to be cleaned regularly if you don't wear gloves all the time, which is no big deal. Any fabric cleaner works, don't need anything fancy and it doesn't take that long unless you wait until it's all matted down.

I changed my shift knob to leather but do prefer the microsuede on seats and wheel since I do autox and track my car.

I wear gloves every single time without fail and never had to clean the alcantra in my 2018. No matter how comfortable any stick shift knob is, they start to eat into your hand eventually which is another benefit along with the increased grip. For the seat I have a sheepskin cover which provides year round comfort.

I think I'll end up doing the same thing. Leather is so much nicer to the touch IMO. Seats being Alacantara don't bother me much, but if I had to choose I would choose all leather.

I wish all leather + carbon fiber was an option when purchasing.

FYI, when I ordered the 2SS door cards in 2019, they did not come with red stitching. Maybe they do now, I don't know. However, I got the cards in grey stitching, and colored the stitching with a red laundry marking Sharpie.

The shift boot was available in red stitching too, but the shifter itself is also colored with a Sharpie.

I’m almost certain you ordered the wrong door cards. You needed to order one for a car that came with red leather seats. Red stitched door cards were available available before 2019.

Did you dye your stitching red?? I assume these door cards are from 2ss
If you did how is it holding up?

Tons of them "coming" here recently

The barrier of entry here is very low for a computer and the cost of moderation high, so even though I report every single one I see, this is an uphill battle forever. Okay, maybe not forever, just until registration becomes ultra difficult (but that will turn people off, too), or someone deploys an anti-AI AI, marking the beginning of yet another arms race...

Yes, I used a red Sharpie magic marker. It has held up fine.
