Finally picked up my IOM 2SS/RS today!!! - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Well, after a very long wait, it's finally here. GM was right on with saying it would be here on 6/17. The only down side....no stripe package. Apparently the stripes are on international backorder so they let me take the car and I have to take it back when the stripes arrive so they can be installed.

I do have one question for you other guys that already have yours in hand. Is the ambient lighting only supposed to light up on the doors, or is it supposed to light up all the way across the dash? My doors are the only thing lit up, but it looks to me like it should go all the way across the dash so that's why I'm asking. Too busy driving around to look through the book yet!

Tried to insert pics and it keeps saying a security token is missing. :(

So you ordered factory stripes and they didn't install them?

i think you have to click on something to accept them or allow you to post them...either in your User CP or when you post.

ABL (ambient lighting) will be fixed later on to include the dash. For those of us buying first year models, replacement kits will be available.

Stripes will come in. They will be fine. If not, they will redo them.

Just go to manage and add them. Maybe it's the wrong file format? Maybe the size of the pix need to be made smaller first?

Congrats on your car! Just wait till everybody starts bragging about how much they love the color! Especially on nice sunny day and it's changing colors! So what color stripe package you going with and which type? I'm waiting on my stripes also getting white racing package. Just wandering if you had same package or if all packages were behind!

since you like iom pics thought id show some mine. sorry camara sucks. also cars dirty been raining since picked car up monday. Next week getting white racing stripes to match my dads went ahead and threw that picture in to. Hope they all go through.

Hmm, For those of us who ordered the 1SS, do you think it would be possible to get the ambient lighting upgrade eventually. I downgraded to a 1SS specifically because of the ambient lighting issue..

what color stripes did you order?

I'm getting the black stripes, the double stripe down the hood and deck lid. I passed my exact car today only theirs had the stripes already installed. Boy, did it look AWESOME!!! And you're right about people stopping me. Everywhere I went yesterday people were walking up to me before I could even get out of the car!

Whoa, really? That's the first I've heard of this, other than hopes and rumors. Was this confirmed somewhere and I just missed it or something? And is it free, or is there a charge for it?
