ZL1 MPG
Currently comparing zl1 and ss official mpg figures. Does the zl1 really turn out this much lower mpg?
Zl1 M6 14/20 - 16 combined SS M6 16/24 - 19 combined Anyone own both and have input?

I'm one that doesn't pay attention to the MPG for a 650 HP car.
But, in the A10, I get 23 to 25 consistently driving to and from work and anywhere else. Now when I'm at a road course event.... its like 1 mpg.... By the way, the "official" mpg that all vehicles have is always lower than what you actually can get. The company who does it, puts the vehicle on a tread mill (a literal vehicle tread mill) and watch a screen to tell them how fast to go and for how long. |

This is kinda on topic of this thread to share a little info I learned recently. I put the ZLE canards and bezels on my car, ZL1 grill and splitter. I dropped ~1mpg with them versus without. I didn't really expect any drop in MPG.

I've averaged 14.8 mpg in my 2018 ZLE over 33,000 miles. I will say that if I'm running E40-60 it's closer to 10 mpg.....but, who really cares!

I average right about 16, but I use mine as a track car 90% of the time and the other 10% is when I take it to go have lunch with my dad about 10 miles away (mostly freeway driving).

My 2018 ZL1 is a manual. When the weather is conducive to driving it to work, I get 14.6mpg on average.
However, last time I took her on a trip to Charleston, SC I was getting 26mpg on I-95. I was pretty impressed.

Modded my manual ZLE is always around 15/16 combined, 25 at a steady 75 on the interstate from a few long road trips I’ve taken.

All really depends on how you drive. If i just put 93 in and drive with a light foot i can average 21MPG on the highway, sometimes even higher.

I daily mine about 60% interstate and 40% in town, I use to average ~20mpg and now ~19mpg after the dive planes.
Typically 40-50 miles a day other than the 2-3 days I pick up the kid from daycare after work and on those days it's 110-120 miles. One days I pick her up, she typically asks "to go fast" which ends up being a few short pulls on back roads home.
