ChevyCamaroGirl's 2010 Camaro SS Build
Hello my Camaro family, and thank you for taking time to check out my build. I’ve been hanging out here at Camaro5 for some time now, and would first like to say thank you to everyone who has taken time to share their own builds and projects. This forum is where I look to find everything Camaro. I’ve learned so much and have seen the most amazing Camaros. You’ve all truly helped inspired my creative side. I’ve met so many awesome people and even joined an awesome all Gen5 club, NorCal Camaros. I should have started this thread a long time ago… since I’ve had my car for around 3 years now. But I say, better late than never right… so here’s a little story of how my love of the Camaro came to be…
When I was a young girl I knew I loved cars. I would be under the car with my Dad any chance I got. I wanted to know how they worked, how they were put together and how they ran. It was fascinating to me. Fast forward to today… I’m still that same girl. My first Camaro was a beautiful 94’ V6, red 5-speed with t-tops. It wasn’t more than a month after I got it when it blew a head gasket. Long story short, I decided to tackle replacing the motor… myself. I did my research, found a performance engine I wanted, and bought it. I had no idea what I was doing, but I was 100% determined to get that car to run again. Almost every day after work for 2 months I wrenched on that car. When I started that engine for the first time, I cried. I really didn’t think it would start…. After that I picked up a 92’ and a 76’. Now I had 3 Camaros! All I needed was a 1st gen to finish my collection… LOL… I wish. At this time the 5th hadn’t come out yet, only the renderings. But even then I promised myself one day I would have a 2010. In 2012 I decided it was time to sale my other Camaros and begin my search for my dream car. After searching, I finally found my sexy black 2010 Camaro SS. It was in Missouri, almost brand new with only 2,000 miles, stock as stock can be. It took 3 days to ship to California… and I’ll tell you that was the longest 3 days of my life. As the carrier drove down my driveway with my car, I was soooo excited. I jumped around like a little kid. The delivery guy probably thought I was completely nuts! But of course he had no idea how long I had been waiting for this day…. And so it began… my total obsession with my Camaro. This is my list so far… I will add to it as I go, since there will always be more… Performance Modifications: Cold Air Inductions Cold Air Intake Jet Performance MAF Sensor Solo Performance High Flow Catalytic Converters Borla Atak Cat Back Exhaust System Hotchkis Strut Tower Brace Hotchkis Lowering Springs Apex Motorsports Oil Catch Can VMAX Ported Throttle Body Vitesse Throttle Controller Engine Bay Dress: Powder Coated Billet Caps Engine Shroud Stainless Accents by American Car Craft Carbon Fiber Accents by Showstoppers Interior Modifications: 2013 Leather Dash Conversion Heads Up Display (HUD) Upgrade Hurst Shifter and Plate Hurst Tap Shift Paddles Billet Race Pedals Escort Passport 9500ix Redline Radar w/Blend Mount JL Audio 12” Sub Stealthbox Custom Amp Enclosure 2 JL Audio Amps XD600/1 & XD700/5 JL C2-650 Components DashTex Black Dash Cover Custom Leather Visor Covers Aqua Blue Dash Lightning Aqua Blue Interior LEDS Gen5diy Mylink Retrofit Reverse Camera Fire Extinguisher on mount I made Exterior Modifications: DJ Grilles Upper & Lower Grilles Halo Super Cars Reverse Hood Kit and Radiator Shroud ACS T3 Fascia Ports w/DRL LEDs AMS VIS Carbon Fiber Hood AAC Knight Rider LED Mail Slot AAC Phantom LED Side Markers Carbon Fiber Rear Bowtie made by Myself Defenderworx Black Billet Front Bowtie Technostalgia Rapid Fire Sequential Tail Lights Vertical Doors Inc. I'll be doing the install at my garage. I'm currently working on the design for the display in my trunk. It will feature the tanks and compressors on a floating mount with the cool twisted hard lines. The floor paneling I decided to go with is a very high gloss black. I'll be incorporating some leather in the trunk too. Gonna look sweet! After I save some money, I’m looking at getting the Blaque Diamond BD-8 wheels in the two-tone black. Looking good! It seems like you've hit all the bases, between interior, exterior, and performance mods. I'm pretty sure I'd never actually seen the Hurst paddles on a car before, they're huge!

Wow, an outstanding job and a beautiful build . Love the DJ Grille although I'm a bit partial to that grille, LOL! Funny, I was at a show in CT yesterday and told everyone who asked about my DJ Grille that I've only seen a few Camaro's with them and none in the northeast. You're now in the club. Anyway, congrats on a great job. Looking forward to seeing the 22's and could a new member for COTW be on the horizon ?? You've got my vote!
