fumes come out the vents

so I have a 2014 ss Camaro with long headers and stock quad tip exhaust no CAT. I understand it will smell with out a cat but if I turn on the AC you can smell the fumes?

where should I start ??

I'd start checking for leaks where the headers meet the cylinder heads. If there is a leak the fumes could find their way into the fresh air system.

If you have a Harbor Freight store nearby you can pick up one of these to avoid burns. They work pretty good listening for air leaks.
