Question Just curious? How many are paying over MSRP on ZL1?

Just curious? How many are paying over MSRP on ZL1?
You don't have to disclose how much over MSRP if ya don't want.
I know some of you guys over in the west coast don't have a whole lotta choice about it and you have to pay over MSRP.
I could not stand the thought of paying a penny over MSRP so I was able to find a cool dealer out of state that allowed me to order with $0 deposit, and getting it at MSRP as well.
I am so glad I made that move as If I had not have, I would have had to pay the $5k over msrp at my local dealer only 10 min away, or I would have to walked once my car got here. I decided to nip it in the bud now rather than later. Thankfully its working out fine, and I have a good feeling this time. Not so much the last time.
I owe a member thanks on here for the research if I can find out where I got the lead from. If I can find it ill post it...
Someone told us to check with Blake Powell over at chevyland in Shreveport La. and thats exactly what I did. He had one allocation left and gladly gave it up to me. I am soo grateful!
I did not even lose my event code of 1100! HA!

I wish I knew. Never heard anything from my dealer about a markup and when I asked last week, he said he didn't know.

He'll know when you come in to pay for it.

Let's face it, there are probably a lot of people who will be paying over MSRP, but I doubt you will see them in this thread admitting it. Why? Because there are so many people that will call them "stupid" or "idiot", or make them feel that way that they would be reluctant to own up to actually doing so to get the car they wanted when they wanted.

I would be more interested in seeing how many people here are able
to buy there ZL1 at below the MSRP. I would imagine not very many
for the 2012 MY.

I won't pay over MSRP, not in this market, but I won't judge anyone else for doing so. If you want something bad enough and are willing to pay for it, go for it.

I searched and searched and got MSRP, if I went with the first dealership it would have been 5K over.

I was able to get mine at MSRP, but, I did put down a non refundable deposit. The deposit didn't bother me as I am buying the car regardless of price. If something really freaky happens on price, then I will buy another 2SS/RS or wait for the MY 2013 ZL1's.

When you say you talked to your dealer... do you mean salesman? I'd go back and talk to the Sales or Inventory Mgr and nail it down. They may be waiting to see what the market is doing and that means over...

Let them know what you expect to pay... Good Luck...
