New Member Intro Thread

Hello everyone. I'm new to board. Been lurking for a while doing some research on the platform as one of my friends had suggested the car now that my wife and I are expecting our first child any time.

Drove a couple cars locally and was surprised by the car. I'm into very hardcore machines and was just completely obvious to this platform, especially the hardcore 1LE.
I'm coming from an aftermarket supercharged 300whp Lotus Elise with double adjustable coilovers, no sound deadening etc. So, finding another car with the edge that car has, I figured was impossible.
I was looking at ACRs and GT3 RS's but I didn't want to take on a mortgage payment with COVID uncertainties and my first kid on the way, and never imagined I'd be able to find something with 4 seats that would scratch the itch.

So I'm hoping I've found that platform and I decided to jump right in with a car that was already modified. I won the ebay auction earlier this month and I'm just waiting on transferral of title and transport.

The hope is for the car to spend most of it's time doing rallies and cruises, which were brutal in the Lotus, not to mention it broke down constantly. But I also intend to bring the car on track as much as I can depending on how bad consumables actually are. I've heard these cars eat tires and brakes, and I'm still not sure how cool it'll stay on track with the added boost.

Time will tell. Hopefully I'll have the car before my wife pops. Keeping fingers crossed.

CONGRATS on the ride, and Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5/6. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, wives', husbands, girlfriends and boyfriends here don't care....and take it easy.

oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.

Welcome!!
