The Mach 1 makes 480 so now its 470. If s346k is talking about that car then all 3 of yall above me can't do math.

As was stated above , mustang gt = 460hp - 10 = 450hp.

I wonder if gm will follow suit with LT1 engines here in the US. For instance the RoW Corvettes' 6.2's that use the particulate filters, power is pulled down down 27hp/15tq to 468/455. Though if they do, I'm sure they'd do everything they could to mitigate those losses, so they may not be as substantial as the Corvette example.

It seems to be a bigger issue with direct injection engines than with port injection engines . . .

Norm is correct. Which makes this even more curious, because Mustangs have both DI and port injection in each engine. The reason for port is to reduce particulates and avoid need for a gas particulate filter (GPF). Camaro has only DI. You’d think Camaro would be the one needing the GPF.

Not if gm plans on ending use of the engines that would be affected by any future requirements. If this allows FoMoCo to keep ICE around even just a little while longer, I really have no issue with it.

It may also be that they needed to bring their average fleet emissions down just a little bit, now that they’ve cut production on all of their passenger cars in favor of the trucks and SUVs. Just guessing.

Add a couple of fuzzy dice to the rear view mirror and you get your 10hp back.. problem solved. Or decals.. lots of decals.

I think the -10 hp is more related to "cars and coffee" incidents than emissions...

If you think a 10HP increase or decrease is going to make or break a model, you don't understand the auto industry. Geez!
