Newbie from Wisco - 2018 SS 1LE

Brand new to the Camaro scene! I was driving sporty SUV’s until I found out Road America (local track) wouldn’t allow them for track days. I started my search for a commuter/track car with the Mustang. I drove the GT, followed closely by the GT with the performance pack. I then tried the GT350 . . . which is what I thought I wanted. I then drove through a local lot and saw this glossy black 2018 SS 1LE with 12k miles for $41k. I looked at my brother-in-law and declared a test drive was in order. And to be honest, the rest is history. I simply could not believe how amazing this car was for the price. I saved $10k, 2 years newer, and 40k less miles than the GT350. Maybe it’s not as “special”? I don’t know. All I know is I can’t stop looking at her and I LOVE DRIVING TO WORK AGAIN 😂.

CONGRATS on the ride, and Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5/6. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, wives', husbands, girlfriends and boyfriends here don't care....and take it easy.

oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.

Welcome!!

Just ceramic coated with Adam’s Advanced ceramic with graphene. Was going to pay $900 to have it applied at the dealer, but when they said it would take 45 minutes, I said, “NAH”. Spent all day Sunday prepping the paint and ended the night by applying the ceramic coat. Quite the process, but she looks AMAZING (at least for the next couple hours ). Freaking black cars . . .

I signed up for my first track day on April 22! Super excited, and just got my SD card formatted so I can record the laps. I’ll also be there for many other events, but April 22 will be my first visit there for the year (fingers crossed for good weather!)
