Don't let them get you down by not waving! Hell, that's why they're not waving in the 1st place they probably are having to sell theirs...

1K Update

So, have a little more than 1,000 miles on it and thought I would post some more impressions.

1) I didn't realize the "redline" changed on the HUD display depending on operating temperatures. That's kind of cool. I don't think it will prevent you from actually hitting 6,500 RPMs, but it does show 4,500 RPMs as redline when the car is warming up. It slowly increases until it gets to 6,500.

2) They did a really great job of programming it so the exhaust valves are closed when it goes to 4-banger mode. I have only had a few times where they were open when it was running on just 4 cylinders.

3) About 4-banger mode...When in sport mode and in D it doesn't take long for it to cut off the extra cylinders. However, if you are in M mode it takes quite a while. That's okay because I keep in in M mode most of the time anyway.

4) After playing with the steering mode for a while I finally have decided to leave it on track mode. Yes it is a little more effort than sport mode (my forearms can use the workout), but it really gives the best feedback. Anyone else think it has more understeer in Track mode than Sport mode?

5) The lag between pressing the paddle and the start of the shift is VARIABLE! I've found that if you are pushing the car hard for 20 minutes or so the delay just about goes away. It still isn't as quick as when in Drive, but much better than when you are just tooling around town.

6) Maybe it is just me, but the optimal gear selection (hold left paddle down) was hard to get right. I kept doing it too soon and it was killing my speed. When you get it right OH BOY it works great, You can come off the apex like a bat out of HE!!. Made the wife scream a few times with that one!

Side note --- Guy on a Harley was trying to pace mean on the curvy/hilly roads near Hot Springs. We weren't going over the speed limit, but I left him behind on every curve.

Awesome

Hope it is ok to add to your thread. Just picked my car up from Rick Conti at Coughlin Chevrolet in Ohio last Friday. Did the 500 mile oil change this morning.
Really enjoying the car so far.
