This means the 1LT Engine as in SS? I see the Corvette is listed too.

There is a recall on the electric steering. Not a rush but you will want to get it done.

LT1 is the engine. 1LT, 2LT is the trim package.

Hmm, as of today my 2017 SS is not showing any applicable recall per NHTSA
https://www.nhtsa.gov/recalls I'll check tomorrow. |

This used to be a TSB, I believe, and than it appears to have been escalated to a field action/campaign. N1821822760 must be the latest. Maybe they are going with a different bolt. Coated or SS.

I'm about 90% sure that I am a big reason this recall finally happened.

Clearly says "Remedy not available yet" which means its a stop sale for lot cars but nothing you can do yet till they find a fix.

The fix is to replace the bolts attaching the power steering motor to the steering gear. If the bolts are corroded and can’t be replaced then the steering gear is to be replaced. Any customer that paid to have this work done is being reimbursed.

Curious what dealership you used in Austin. I’ve been reluctant to even get a free oil change at a dealer or even take my car in since the service center kept my car for over a week to replace a cracked grill when they tried to pry off the gold bow ties. Now this recall has not hit my 50th2SS M6 as of today and my garage queen only has 2850 on the odometer since Sept’16.

Does anyone have a link to the actual TSB? I would like to do this myself, I don't trust the dealer to do anything on my car.
