help! remote not detected

car wont shut off wont lock doors wont open trunk..both remotes...never happened before ...what?????? to do?...…..

Put key fob in rear cup holder and try to turn off car

Using the ignition button, you should always be able to shut the car off!

Sounds like a trip to the dealer.

TSB 16-NA-396 fixed it for me. Had the same problem earlier this year, car would fail to detect the remote after I drove somewhere. They replace one of the modules.

If you wait about 15 to 30 minutes it will start working again as well. I suggest locking the car and walking out of remote range.

I had to have the remote sender unit replaced in mine, it wasn't sending a strong enough signal so the key would get confused and not do what it was supposed to do, even if it was in the rearmost cupholder. Warranty issue, taken care of.

I had a similar issue with my ZL1 a few months back. Replacing the battery in the remote fixed my issue.
