Memory Seat Issue

The memory seat function on my 17SS works sometimes and not at others. The exit feature works fine but when I get into the car I hit the start button for the seat to move forward and sometimes it does on the first start of the day and then not afterwards. Any ideas?

Some sort of safety feature? I only use it when the car is off. Wanna be on the pedals before I fire it up. Clutch not fully down and on the brake could be a mess.

The feature is not used when starting the car..just press the run/start button without depressing the clutch and seat should move forward. Issue is that it does not do so all the time.

Easy exit will always work but the EPB must be set for the seats to move into position.

17’&18’s work the same way but the 17’ manual doesn’t tell you that the park brake is required

To clarify, auto trans must be in park OR manual trans the park brake needs to be set.

Sweptwing you are the man!! You are absolutely correct. The parking brake must be on for the memory seat option to work on entry and the manual does not mention that. I have been fighting with that issue since I bought the car new. Again - thanks for the helpful info!

Retmil, you are totally welcomed! I too struggled to figure this out.
One other tidbit, you can enter the vehicle set the epb and you’re good to go, the car doesn’t need to set in the garage with epb set.

I have a 17" automatic and do not usually use the parking brake. Very rarely. And yet, the seat comes forward every time, but when I get in the car I always have the foot break pressed before starting the car. Try that too if you don't want to use the parking break.
