This question is for 2LT and 2SS owners. I have a 2012 1LT with the ABL connector in the door, but no power to it. I am having my dealer program the BCM to activate my outside heated mirrors. If I also have the ABL socket turned on, when does it power up? All the time, with the dome light, when driving, or when?

With the headlights or parking lights are on.

How much did it cost you to have your dealer program the door panel lighting? I'm doing the same thing with my 1SS and would like to get an idea of how much it will cost.

Nothing; because I am not using the connector. Ofer said that there is no power to it from inside the car, so it is basically a dead circuit. You will have to connect to something that is already powered.

Ok, I thought from your post it sounded like you were going to have your dealer program it to work.

I should clarify my post. There are no wires connecting the plug in the door to the BCM; they start and end in the door. You would have to run wires from the BCM to the door connectors on each side, and I have no idea where they would plug into on either end. Much easier to just run a new wire, and bypass the BCM completely.
