Best 18" tire to replace stock?

I have a V6 1LT with the stock BF Goodrich 245/55/18. Is there a better tire than this for normal driving in mostly rainy conditions that doesn't cost a fortune? Would Firestone or Goodyear be a better choice?

Thanks in advance.

I'm not sure what you call a fortune but I've been very happy w/Contintential Extreme Contact on my 2010.

I bought the Firestone wide oval tire with the W speed rating for my LS 18 inch wheels and I like them. They are much quieter than the stock Goodrich.
