Sound deadening? Worth it?
I'm in the process of installing 2 IDQ 12" subs in my trunk, would using sound deadening be worth it? Or am I even going to have trunk rattle? Because I think trunk rattle might be the most tacky thing on a car and I'm trying to avoid it but still have a nice system! Feedback is welcome guys.

I definitely have trunk rattle from my trunk lid that I need to sound deaden, but I was recently told that 2012's and later have sound deadening added to the trunk lid from the factory. Not sure how valid that claim is...

Dynamat if you don't want your car to sound like a rattling metal box, but some guys like that I guess.

I think it's worth it, I did my whole car a made a huge difference but I still had a rattle coming from the trunk lid so I removed the cover on the trunk where the ( incase your stuck in the trunk) release is at, and added dynamat, plus had to stuff some matting in between the trunk lid and the braces.

I didnt put any in mine but I only have a single 12. There is no trunk rattle inside or out. People outside my car can't tell I've got the sub turned up even when i can't see out the rear view mirror. There is a rattle in the overhead piece where the interior light is...but i really cant use anything there. FWIW, its a 2013 SS.
