For the V6 Camaro there is no better CAI than CAInc IMHO. I did a lot of research and CAInc was what I went with in the end and would not change to any other brand. Also my hood works perfectly with the CAInc CAI

I put the stock air box back on today with a K&N filter, I might be crazy but I swear I feel a little more peep in the gas peddle when I give it a quick punch. I hated to take off the CAI intake but it was making me crazy...So now, just to make myself more nuts I am going to order the ported throttle body and try the CAI intake again when I get the new TB. From what I have been reading the combination of CAI & TB is the way to go... I guess we will see and hopefully I am not just wasting my money.

Also I found this video about cold air intakes interesting:

Sweet, experimentation! Good luck.

As for the video, this one was discussed on here before.

Both are easy swaps to do, CAI & PTB. Take it to the track run all stock than swap the new items on. You'll be surprised sometimes what your butt dyno tells you Vs the timing system of the track. I have the GMPP exhaust, CAI, Air scoop, WW relocation and PTB and I love them. You don't feel horsepower like you do torque, but horsepower is fun on the top end!!!

I also am running a CAI long tube not box setup with a ported TB and High Flow 2.0 cats and I put them on all at different times and they all three gave me noticeable gains, just in different parts of my acceleration! I wouldn't count that CAI out at all, those things are amazing for the price and I still love the look and feel of mine.

This all boils down to if you want to "feel" like you have more power, or do you actually want to have more power. Bring your car to a reputable Dyno and run it stock or even stock with the "high flow air filter" and run it with our CAI. You will have your answer.

As long as your CAI is installed properly, I am 99% sure that your "hesitation" is simply the fact that you are hearing the intake pulling in air before combustion. Don't take this the wrong way, but I think you are over analyzing it and putting far to much weight into what you are hearing, we've seen it before.

As far as the video goes, every car is different and reacts to performance mods differently. What they said in the video does not necessarily translate to truth or accuracy when it comes to your Camaro. I would recommend speaking with some reputable speed shops on this site that build, dyno and race these cars every day for a living, they can give you much better information than that video.

Good luck man, let me know if you have any questions.

I have modded mine, and I will never go back to stock...

Now, what more can I do to it 'visually'?

If you wanted to play around with variables even further, you could fill up with 91/93 octane and test the CAI and stock air box.

I have installed the CAI intake and i felt the opposite. I first installed the intake and loved the sound but didnt really feel the extra power but then again its only about 12 extra hp in a heavy car. But i did feel a bit of the low end dead spot go away. I later installed a ported TB and now all the dead spot is gone and it sounds great to boot. I would definetly recomend the CAI intake and VMAX ported TB to any Camaro owner V6 or V8.

My car run faster after installing the CAI and even more faster after after combining with VMax PTB...My MRT v2 is well seasoned now which made my car better than stock.

With adding the VMax T/B and a C.A.I I could tell the difference but the true measure will be what direction to go with a V6 - Turbo, forced induction or put in a crate motor and turn the car into a sleeper.
