Low roofline in C7
Hey everyone,
I'm currently thinking about purchasing a new C7 coupe and I am not incredibly tall (6 feet exactly) and I noticed during my test drive that the roofline comes just over my head (and the convertible roof is even lower). I was wondering if you all either noticed this about the car initially or if you just get used to the low roofline. I'm currently driving a 5 series BMW which obviously has more space. I would assume if you're 6'3 then the corvette might be a problem. I'm really surprised because I recently test drove a preowned Porsche 911 and the roof was significantly higher. Thanks! Josh |

Yes the height of the C7 is lower than a new Porsche. For sports cars the lower the better. You do get used to it the roof being low but I have not heard anyone complain about this. The main thing I have heard for people 6' 2" and taller is leg room issues.

Another thing to think about is the seat height. It's adjustable by nearly 2". Its entirely possible the car you test drove had the seat at or near the top. Lowering the entire seat or setting the base at a slight rearward tilt will gain quite a lot of headroom. I'm 6' and have well over 2" clearance.

I'm 6'3.5"ish and daily drive mine with no headroom issues. Go sit in one and play with the seat controls a bit, I found going all the way down then back then tilt gives me the most room.

Hey thanks everyone - it was all the way down. Honestly I have enough head clearance I think I'm just used to having more headroom in sedans. I think I'll definitely be able to adjust the seats to my liking.
My next big decision is whether to go with crystal red tintcoat vs. night race blue. I think the blue is really classy but the crystal red with kalhari interior looks amazing! Decisions, decisions. |

I'm 6'6" and fit in the coupe fine. Drove
a C7 to see if I fit before I ordered one. Adjust the seat down and tilt the back and I think you will be fine. C7, 2LT Laguna Blue, 7 speed |

I was considering the NRB 2 things changed my mind.
1. Looks black in low light 2. less contrast of the black vents on the C7 I chose a Crystal Red Coupe, I get many compliments on the color and the gold metallic just pops in the sun. Last edited by regguy1; 07-25-2014 at 08:10 PM. |

see my post from 6-04-2014 "New found legroom".
It's a very easy mod that has worked well for me and it seemed to help a number of others as well. |
