I just installed a Rotofab CAI on my 2015 camaro SS l99 and I noticed a difference in sound of my exhaust. Seems more throaty if that makes sense. You can hear the intake when you accelerate and I agree its pricey but I think its necessary. It took like 30 mins to install. I noticed a 3 mpg increase as well on the highway but haven't driven enough to see the overall affect on Mpg combined.

So yes, it does make a difference. Once you add headers you'll definitely want to get a tune though. Now, these cars are quite heavy so 15whp isn't going to feel much different but when you look at the numbers it makes sense.

Thanks for using the Roto-fab CAI!

We have seen 15-18 hp gains in many cases with the addition of our intake system on a bone stock Camaro SS, with gains of 30+ hp common on supercharged builds! The Roto-fab CAI is one of the very few mods for your Camaro that will improve the performance, sound, and appearance with a quick 30 minute install!!

I joked about this years ago, when I first got my 2010 SS and was researching CAI Units, but the Dodge Demon Engineers actually did this:

Siphon off A/C and feed it to the Air Box for True Cold Air Intake

My suggestion was to cut the A/C cabin feed hose, install a 'T' fitting and route the branch line to the hose barb on the Stock Air Box - Turn on the A/C and PRESTO! Instant Cold Air Intake

I had thought about something like that as well. My next thought was that the gain would probably be offset by the power drain from having the A/C on. Also the track I used to run at in KC (the track being where this would be most useful) would not let run the A/C because of the condensation dripping on the track. Now, roll racing in Mexico would be a different story.
