What is it hitting? I don't know much about the AK stuff... is that where the hammer strikes the firing pin? You have more wear inside the rifle someplace I'm bet'cha.

Just working from dumb logic, I assume that's the back of the firing pin inside the bolt. The hammer is smacking the firing pin, but not with enough power to cause wear like that! When it's resetting the hammer, maybe, but then your hammer is gonna be beat up pretty bad too.

[edit] Ok, further investigation, I see the shiny nipple up top is the hammer reset, it looks to be worn excessively as well.

What does your hammer look like? How many rounds through the rifle?

20mm would be a nice round at that distance... wouldn't that be awesome to bring out!

You are correct with all of your statements. That is the rear bolt where the hammer strikes the firing pin. It looks like if I fired 5000 rounds through it when it's more like 500. The rifle was only shot 3 times with this being the third outing. Put a few rounds through it just for sighting, second time only put about 100 rounds through it. This last time I put around 400. I contacted Century Arms so I have to send the rifle to them. Bummer.

That is a cool shirt. Ironically Florida is flat but not many long ranges available here. I have a friend working on a personal 1000 yard range so we can shoot and swat team can train on it. Other than 200 yards swat has nowhere to train around here. There is a 1000 yard range open up near Orlando like one weekend every few months on a cow field when they move the cows to a different pen. Not many people even know about it.

Word is getting out for sure lol:

Now the question is, can adding a vertical grip to a pistol make it an AOW, as stated in an earlier ATF open letter.

Wonder what that will look like after a few babies and middle age sets in?

Always remember the tats my Uncles had from WW2. Most were Sailors, a few mere Marines. My Dad the only one who didn't bring one back from the Pacific.

They were just colorful blobs forty years later. I assume methods, inks and equipment are better now?
