The modern pro circuits are all about regulation and driver. The differences in car performance are intentionally negated as much as possible to keep competition, well competitive. I honestly don't mean to be rude or hostile here, but if you don't have the technical speak at that level, perhaps you're arguing points you shouldn't be arguing?

Aaron Robinson is VP of Dealer sales for C/D and paid by manufactures to write articles for for them. I did enjoy the read, but it was an advertisement.

Ads are self serving and the definition of snake oil, they look and feel really good though.

The Motorauthority article was the exact opposite and a terrific example of a non-bias review.

Like the rest of these "kind of exotic-style" high-end performance cars, I don't fear a GT350R anymore than I fear a Z/28 or any of that. I'm not guessing they're going to make 15,000 of them this year. I have no idea, I don't follow Mustangs to that detail, all I know is it's supposed to be "limited" whatever that means.

Even if they limited it to say, 1,000 units. That's 20 cars per state average, if they stayed wholly in the U.S. And as distribution historically goes, the northern states and Texas will likely see the most of these vehicles. So down here in South Carolina, I'm betting if I see one in the wild, it'll be a very rare sight. Gotta feeling I'll be seeing more Hellcats than GT350Rs.

Most will pay over sticker out of the gate and because of that, think they have to squirrel it away to protect their "investment". It ALWAYS happens. ALWAYS. Even with the Z/28 crowd.

And because of that, you won't see too many out in the wild.

There will always be the track rats and that's the most likely place you'll see one. Other than that, out on the street, it'll be like they never existed.

I don't remember if it was ever made official but I remember reading that GT350's production numbers would be similar to that of GT500. That vehicle was produced as such:
2007 - 2695
2008 - 2070
2009 - 555
2010 - 4458
2011 - 5100
2012 - 4834
2013 - 4885
2014 - 5730
The "R" would most likely be the truly limited car. Ford probably won't build more than 500 of them a model year.

The only official announcement so far is that the GT350 is "contracted" for Model Years 2015 (the rare 137 total), 2016 and 2017. Approved dealers and Ford Performance are under comtract up to MY2017. Ford has not announced or revealed yet what will happen for MY2018 and beyond in regards to the GT350.

Even production numbers are estimated at 4-5K per model year (give or take a few hundred I presume) with approx 500 R's yearly. In anycase, we'll see sooner or later...

They are great cars aren't they? We haven't seen a good production muscle car battle like among the top 3 like this in nearly 50 years. It's a win-win for all crowds.

The Chevy dealers that attempted to assign a market value adjustment to the Z/28 got roasted. While I am sure there are a handful that paid an MVA to obtain their Z, the percentage is no where near Ford's 100%. This is a great thing for the individual Ford franchises and arguably to the collectors.

Mustang6 claimed Ford is planning 5,000 GT350 and 500 GT350R annually and should not have any problems selling at these volumes, based on recent market history.
