Wi-Fi on phone

Anymore, when i turn the car off and the radio is still playing, I can't access the internet on my phone. Once I open the door to turn the radio off, the phone gets internet access.
Any ideas what would cause this? It used to never happen, and my wifi subscription to the car is active.

So you have your phone connected to the car's WiFi right? If so, I can't think of any reason it would shut of the access on shutdown short of power savings on the car. Opening the car door does kill the car's WiFi I'm sure, so that explains why your phone starts working.

Yes, connected to cars Wi-Fi. Noticed also that when car is on & parked, then turn Wi-Fi off on the phone, the phone gets internet connection.

I had to disconnect the battery a few weeks ago to reset the radio....maybe something with that.
